DORN AGAIN.
ACCUSED ADMITS THEFT. (Per Press Association.> HAMILTON, this day. When Roy Charles Dorn, who is awaiting trial for Hie allaged attempted murder of Aliirie! Tetzlaff, admitted the theft of a, dozen knives, a suit case and a ring from Fow and Co., in Hie Police Court this morning, counsel asked that Dot'll be given a short- term of hard' labor, and that lie have some kind of company, which was preferable to (be mental strain of solitary confinement, while awaiting the more serious charge. The Magistrate. Mr Wilson, said lie, would not consider wlial accused wanted, but, what was in the best interests of accused and the community. Accused had been convicted of theft, two years ago and was not any novice. He had! to treat him as a man charged with a very serious crime and l hei thought the proper course would lie to postpone sentence till (lie attempted murder charge was disposed of. Accused was convicted and ordered (o come rip for sentence on March 3.
During the hearing of this, case Detective Culloty produced a, plug of gelignite and a. fuse, which the detective said was found in accused's possession when arrested.
