At to-day's negotiations the companies declined to concede tile points raised bv Die Railwaymen’r. Union. They pointedl out that the companies had accepted the findings of the. Wages Board, which Lho Union line! repudiated! for a second lime, alter the Union's representatives had signed the report. The companies intimated that if the Union persisted in tliis attitude they would be obliged seriously to con.sitter their attitude towards the Wages Board machinery, which was being rendered futile and farcical.
