r SECOND DAY OF RAM FAIR, AVERAGE PRICES LOWER THAN LAST YEAR, I'here was a good attendance of buyers at the Matawhero saleyards to-day, When the Poverty Bay Stockbrokers’ Association’s annual ram fair was continued, Lincolns, Soutlidowns, and Leicesters being offered. The yardings of Lincolns were small, while the iSouthdowns and Leicesters were yarded in fair numbers. Bidding opened quietly, but improved as the sale progressed. On the average, ■ the prices secured were lower than at last .year’s fair. G. V. Smith, however, secured 18gns. for ten shearling Lincolns, compared with the top price of 14£gns. last year.
