LONDON, Oct. 23.—" Rose Marie." a musical play, which made such a success in New York, has been the salvation of the historic Drury Lane Theatre. Sir Alfred Butt, M.P., managing director of tho theatre, has informed shareholders that, when it was put on after a run of Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream," the nouso had already incurred a substantial loss on tho year, but in three months they not only wiped out this loss and paid for the "Rose Marie" production, but made a prolit fcumcient to pay a ;j per cent, dividend. The proiits since June 30 have been considerable also.
