BATHING BEAUTY CONTEST.

WON BY MARRIED WOMAN. Boxing Day. carnivals were held at Pet one and Lyall Bay, Wellington. In Hie latter more than the usual nmount of interest was manifested in the bathing beauty contest, for which a large number of entries was received. The judging was declared 1o he most, difficult, particularly among the placed ladies. Mrs. Scale (Wellington) was first, Miss G. Smith (Petone) second, and Miss H. Eglinton (Feafherston) third.
