A WARNING TO YOUTHS.
JUDGE’S SEVERE COAIM EXT.
The lack of homo life and parental control was the subject of serious comment by Judge Williams in the Melbourne Court last week, when addressing five youths whom, he had decided to release on a hood after they had been convicted of theft.
Tlu* Judge said the case before him directed public attention lo the fact that decent boys were developing into criminals. Tlie ease against the youths was that, after attending a dance, they stole a motor-car from outside the dance hall, and after proceeding on a “joy-ride.” broke into a shop. Four ni the lads were said to lie members of a notorious Fitzroy “push.” His Honor bound each of the youths to abstain from liquor for three years, and urged them to get out ot the ‘ ‘push. ’ ’ ■
