(Special to the Herald.) TOKOMAiUJ BAY, this day. At the last meeting of the Tokomaru Harbor Board there wore present: Messrs A. W, f\ir.k (chairman), A. B. Williams, H. .1. Williams, M. Hyland, and .1. Busby. In connection with the examination of Capt. A. W. Kirk and the secretary were appointed delegates to the Harbors Association 's Conference. Airs. Harding notified her acceptance of the Board’s officer of £.‘LiO for I three sections of freehold land.—The I secretary stated that he had placed the matter in the hands of Messrs Graham and Todd to arrange transfer. This action was confirmed. Richardson and Co. wrote in regard to several matters: Regretting the delav in the cargo service between Auckland, and Tokomaru Bay; freight of j general cargo and hardwood innoer lrom Auckland; that they appreciate the action of the Board in deepening 1 the fairway into the wharf and freight -on. general cargo and hardwood timber from Auckland will be reduced in about three months 1 time; save-alls will no. supplied for coal boats; every endeavor is being made to take a correct tally of cargo.—Received. A legal opinion was received from Messrs Graham and Todd regarding authority of the Board to buy or lease land and erect workers’ dwellings. ! On Ihe motion of Mr. E. .1. Williams the secretary was instructed to write : u) Richardson and Co. in regard to the 'reduction in coastal wool freight, and the non-fulfilment- of promises regarding the. cargo service from Auckland. Mr. Brydon, who is leaving tho Board’s employ, was granted a fortnight’s leave on full pay. ft was decided that the rent for the Board’s two cottages, occupied by Capt. Angus and Air. Lindsay, be decreased by £0 a year, and that .T. Cockery ’s wages be increased by £(• a year.

Mv. J. Busby gave notice of notion :ik follows: “That, the lost paragraph of clause 105 of Harbor Board by-laws, which reads “ Ale, beer, or porter, in casks, per gallon indicated by Government stamp, imports 1 }.d, exports Id, and the word 'linttied' in clause 238, be cancelled as from March 1, 102(1.” The receipts for October were £451 Ids fid and for November £2u3 17s .'id; the payments for October being £748 11s 5d and for November £507 ti’s lOd. The imports for October totalled 445 tons, and for November 01 (i tons. The exports for October totalled 107 tons, arid for November ‘123 tons.
