BROODING MURDER.
MAN WITH DELUSIONS. THREATENING LETTERS. ' LONDON, Dec. 12—John Fairclough, employed as a pbrter, has been sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for sending a letter .threatening murder to Mr. H. Day, who is a theatrical producer. A detective gave evidence that, after conviction for theft, tho accused threatened the prosecutor’s wife, and recently had threatened several actors and actresses.
A police doctor gave evidence that tho -man was suffering from a delusion that theatrical persons were persecuting him. Mr. Justice Shearman, in sentencing the accused, recalled that a lunatic with a grievance murdered William Terriss. Sometimes threats ■ like Fairclough’s matured. ■
