FRENCH MILITARY VOTE FOR SPORT.
The French army lias set- aside £68.000 out. of its financial vote for encouraging sport both before and after military service.' This money will go in. subsidies to deserving small clubs, and lias nothing to do with the funds spent oil the t roops. The French navy set aside the. sum of £25.000 for sports and prizes in the naval service, while) other sums have been earmarked for sport in the colonies. Even the Ministry of foreign affairs contemplates helping sport financially. As a matter of fact, it has done so for several years now, under the heading of “propaganda,” and it is this help which has facilitated French players visiting others countries.
