WALKS OUT OF A HOSPITAL, v STORY OF A FRACTURED SKULL
A man against whom several charges of theft are pending, and who was recently removed from the cells of the Sydney police station to Sydney hospital for the treatment of severe injuries to the head, left Iris wal’d, clad in borrowed clothes, at noon on November 10. walked through the front gales of the hospital, and set out- bv foot for )iis home at Surrey Hills. He was recaptured later in I tie dnv. The man was arrested last month and imprisoned at the police station, awaiting the hearing of his case. When charged, he complained that he felt ill and lmd severe pains in his head. On the following day he lapsed into unconsciousness. Playing cricket a few days before his arrest, he had hern hit on the head bv a ball. When Ruhsemient.lv he was taken to the hospital and examined, it was found that lie bad been walking the streets to>- son’- 1 time with a badly fractured skull. He was placed in one of the wards of the hospital, and there made rapid progress towards recovery.
