The Wainui leaves Napier this evening and will be tendered here to-morrow with one launch for inward arid outward passengers, leaving the Kaiti side at noon. The vessel will leave Inter for Auckland direct. Thu Kamo is expected to leave Lyttelton this evening for Napier and Gisborne, via Wellington. She is expected bore about Tuesday or Wednesday next. The Devon, now loading frozen meat ami general cargo for London and West Coast of England ports, is expected to completa and sail from Gisborne on Monday evening for Auckland for final despatch. The Leitrim is expected to arrive at Gisborne on Monday, to load frozen meiit and general cargo for United Kingdom ports and U.S.A; She is expected to sail finally from Gisborne about December 0. The Putiki arrived from Wellington via Napier, this morning. She sails tonight for Napier and Wellington. The Awahou, from Auckland via the Coast, was due here early this afternoon. She is to leave, for Napier tomorrow afternoon. Tho Inga completed discharge of her coal cargo yesterday, and sailed for Greymouth, via Onerahi and Whnngapo. The Tiroa arrived from Auckland, via Coast, last night, and after discharging sails for Napier to-night, She returns to Gisborne during the week-erpi and! departs for Auckland on Monday night. LIFEBOAT^" 1 WORLD TOUR. A former Penzance lifeboat, the Elizabeth and Blanche, is to set out on a world tour this month. It is understood that one of the primary objects of the cruise is to test the most suitable foods in tinned form for distressed mariners and castaways. Another feature will be the testing of wireless lifeboats, and to this matter the Marconi Company has devoted the utmost cave. A remarkable transformation lias taken place in the old lifeboat. It has been elaborately' fit-fed with showcases, and goods produced by leading British manufacturing firms will be represented. At last report the boat was at Southampton, and is being fitted with wireless. It is then intended to exhibit her on London .Bridge before she is returned to Penzance, from which port she will set out on her voyage. The, first port of call will be Madeira, and then in turn she will visit Capetown, Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, South America, the United States, and Canada before crossing the Atlantic for home. The whole trip will cover 38,0C0 miles, and the tjme allowed is 2t to 3 years. The boat- lias been wonderfully adapted for file trip, and there have been hundreds'of oners t-bz join her crew. She | has been heightened 18in. and decked in fore and aft. There is a rapacity for 50 days’ fresh water supply, and six, months’ supply of preserved foods. , The boat’s crew are: Captain George Hitdh'en,s, of Newlyn, in cfitmnand ; Mr Phillip Nieholls, junr.. Penzance, son of the coxswain when the boat- was in use as a lifeboat, mate; Mr Leonard Stewart, Penzance, engineer; Mr Gilbert Moss, Birmingham, wireless operator. The boat is fitted with a motor.
