CALCUTTA, Nov. 17.—A meeting of SCOO native dock laborers at Calcutta adopted resolutions declaring that they would have nothing to do with political organisations, in whose leaders they had no faith, and that they did not intend to be misled by political agitators, who merely seek their o\vn ends. ~

RIFLES TO SETTLE DISPUTE.
SHERIFF KILLED
NEW YORK, Nov. 19.—An election controversy at the village of Hyden resulted in the sheriff being killed.
In consequence, mountaineer factions arc marching into battle, and over 600 of them carry repeating rifles. All the village officials ’ have been forced: to flee for their lives.
Machine-gun troops are being rushed from Frankfort to quell the disorder.
