LONDON. Nov. 15.—Two Sydnev business moil, brother,s, who ore travelling in Italy, and who were lobbed of their wallets containing £2OO and respectively, warn Australians to avoid Italy or to guard their money until the Italian Government takes drastic steps to deal with the gangs of pickpockets who are operating on the railways and in the streets of the chief cities. The two brothers, as well as four foreigners, were robbed on (lie same train by pick pockets, wlm hustled passengers in the corridor and doorways, without any arrests resulting. The victims complained to the British Consul at Milan, whose request (o the Italian Government that warning notices bp placed in the trains, was ignored. The Consul showed his callers a pile of empty wallets which are awaiting British claimants. The pickpockets ex-, tract Ihe money and place the wallets in pillar-boxes. One of the Sydney men lost a letter of recommendation from Mr. Bruce. He does not wish to disclose his identity,'{is lie is afraid of reprisals oft his roturniftg to Italy.
