When Guy Waggoner received a telegram advising that his sister was seriously ill and not expected to live lie immediately chartered a special trainIt completed the journey of 1051 miles from St. Louis to New York in 20 hours. All the other trains side-tracked, giving the special a clear run. Waggoner arrived in time, and rewarded tho train crow with £IOOO.
