DERBY WINNER.
COMPANY TO CONTROL,
LONDON, Nov. 16.—Air 11. E. Morris.?, owner of the English Derby winner Manna, is returning to China after tin extended visit t-o England. Manna was injured while competing in the Kt. Leger at- Doncaster in September, and was then retired to the stud. In view of projected absence from England, Mr Morriss has transferred Jiis interest in the horse to a private company with a capital ol £20,000. His wife is one of the directors of tlie company. Mr Morriss is a wealthy bill broker of -Shanghai. Two years ago he 'commissioned the English trainer Fred Darling to buy him a yonrljjig. Darling purchased Manna for 6300gn5., and so it, came about this year that Mr Morriss won the English Derby at his first attempt,, In the two seasons that lie raced Manna won £23.554 in stakes.
