STRIKE OF EMPLOYEES.

The employees of two big bacon factories at Perston and Ballarat respectively have struck, following the employers’ refusal to grant a demand for, ten per cent, increase in wages. The strike has thrown the industry into chaos. As other employers feel it unsafe to make forward arrangements, employees accordingly throughout the industry have been * given fourteen iiavs r notice of dismissal.
