SIX DAYS?
CRICKET TESTS IN ENGLAND.
FUTURE- -PERHAPS.
LONDON, Oct. 24.—Prominent English amateurs express the opinion that three days are insufficient- for cricket test, matches. These all-important game's, they sav, are played in England only once in four years, and therefore at least threfc of them should be extended to six days each. Mr Mallet, the member of the M.C.O. Committee who is representing the Australians in making arrangements for the tour, informed the special representative of The Sun that there is no likelihood of six-day matclies during the Australians’ 1926 tour. The, fixtures have been arranged on a threedny basis, with a- possible extension to six days for the last test, if it- is necessary to secure a definite result. There is, no desire here for an extension of time, hut. if discussions during the tour favor six-day matches an alteration can he considered for subsequent sea sons.
