The Witigatui arrived l ! rom Aueklanil yesterday afternoon and sailed for Napier last evening. Cargo ex this vessel will be transhipped to the Kahika in Napier. The Kahika leaves Wellington today for Napier and is due here with southern produce about ‘Thursday next. On completion here she sails for Dunedin to load again for Napier and Gisborne via the usual ports. The Katoa leaves Auckland about. Thursday with cargo for Gisborne. On completion here she proceeds to Napier, thence Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin.
Running in the Eastern Canadian service, the Wind, from Sydney (C. 8.), Montreal, and Newport, News for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Sydney and Melbourne, is due at Auckland about November 2. The Trekicve is to sail from Montreal on November 1(5 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Sydney, and Melbourne. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Matakana, now at Lyttelton, will later visit Port Chalmers, Waikokopu, Auckland, and Wellington to load for Home. She is scheduled to leave Wellington on November 17 for London, via Monte Video and Teneriffe.
The Awahou sails for Auckland to night. The Putiki sails to-night for Welling ton.
The launch Arakina, a pilot boat built for the Wellington Harbor Board, arrived in Gisborne last night. The trim little craft, which attracted some attention, left Auckland on Wednesday at daybreak, but sheltered at Cape Runaway on Thursday. The Arahina is fitted with a Fairbanks-Mor.se fourcylinder Diesel engine of 140 h.p. Those aboard are Messrs N. C. iailoii, C. Bailey, Rutherford, and Captain McArthur, 1 of Wellington. The launch will call at Napier on her wav south. The Tiroa arrives at Auckland from the Coast and Gisborne to-morrow morning, and is .expected to sail again on Tuesday night for Hicks Bay and Ibis port. The Komi, proceeds to Tolaga Bay this evening and thence to Napier.

Inclement weather conditions prevailed over most of the 'North Island this morning, the. exceptions being Auckland,-Gisborne, and Napier, where blue sky was showing. 'Rain was falling at Opotiki, Cape Palliser and Wellington; passing showers at, Cape Maria and Cape ■ Egmont.; overcast conditions elsewhere. Wellington reported 27 points of rainfall. Fresh N.W. breezes were blowing at Auckland, Napier, and Cape Palliser; fresh westerlies at Cape Maria and Oastlepoint; fresh N.F.. at Opotiki and East Cape; fresh S.E. at Cape Campbell. Temperature-readings at 9 a.m. : Cane Maria 61. Auckland'63, Tauranga 58, Opotiki 63, East Cape 64. Gisborne 67, Napier 70, New Plymouth 51, “Wellington 54, Cape Campbell 57. STATE OF THE SEA.
