Australian and N.Z, Cable Association) LONDON, October 22.

The police met the C.P.R. steamer Melita at Southampton from Antwerp. The greatest secrecy was maintained in taking the first officer, Towers, off. A bullet entered his face and lodged in his ear, but will probably be extracted to-day. Holiday, the first engineer, is also improving.
