MANGAPAPA AND KAITI.
PROPOSALS FOR RATEPAYERS
HEAVY RATES INVOLVED
The question of raising loans over the recently-merged areas of Mangapapa and Kaiti was considered by the Borough Council last evening, when it was decided that the proposals should all be placed on the One voting paper. The proposal in connection with Mangapapa. is that a special district loan of £39,656 be raised, this amount being allocatod to works as follows: Installation of electric light ... £2,056 Waterworks reticulation ... £13,700 Installation of seworage system £23.100 The rate required for these loans will be 5 18-64 d in the £. The proposal in connection with Kaiti is that a special district loan of £18.560 ho raised, this amount being allocated to work as follows: —■
Installation of electric light ... £1,260 Waterworks reticulation ... £5,300
Installation of sewerage system £12,000 Tho rate required will bo 5 11-64 d in the £■
