CHARGE AGAINST CHEMIST.

AUCKLAND, last night.
•‘The incused was using far more opium than any other chemist in Auckland,” said Chief Detective Cummings this morning in the Police Court, when there was preferred against Frank Leslie Anderson, alias G. T. Wallace,'the unusual charge that at Auckland, on or about December 1, 1924. lie did forge the name of A. Gillon in a retailer’s opium book kept by him (accused) in accordance with t-lift regulations made under the Opium Act, 1808, with intent, that it should be acted upon as genuine.
Accused was allowed bail in the sum of £2OO on condition that lie report twice daily to the policeAnderson (from the dock): May I have my name suppressed '! Magistrate Boynton : No, not in a 'xi.se of this nature.
