SYDNEY, July 18. At the Stadium, Leo Wax defeated Harry Young in the eighth round, the referee stopping the contest owing to tha severe punishment administered to Young. At the Balmain .Stadium, Stan Tliurbcin defeated Jimmy Semmens in the sixth round for the bantam championship of Australia. Thurbon was aggresive throughout, and with a series of heavy body blows floored Semmans, who was counted out.
