PRE-HISTORIC BRIDGE.
RELIC OF THE ,ICEi AGE. (Sydney Sun Cables.) " BERLIN. July 12. A perfectly preserved oaken footbridge forty yards long, consisting of planed planks fastened with oaken clamps by the ice-age man and constructed across a marshy river-bed, has been unearthed in a mine shaft in Dortmund. Archaelogists are of opinion that it is liftv thousand years old. It is the most important pre-historic discovery for years, and proves the intelligence and skill of the ice-men, whose only implements were mammoths’ teeth.
