Mousset, who a few years ago was regarded as one of the cleverest burglars in Europe, found when liberated, after serving a. long term, that he was too old for the game, so established a school for burglars in the Paris underworld. Parents willingly paid large fees to have their children taught tricks of the trade. Mousset imparted most systematic training. His own home was burgled i very week by pupils practising. The police, suspecting the school, burst in andj found Mousset teaching a class by diagrams on a. blackboard. Everything looked innocent- and the police wero on the point of departing when one removed the teacher’s spectacles and recognised Aloussot. Tho authorities ordered the school to he closed.
