SHOOK CAUSES DEATH.

KX-HESTDKNT OF GISBORNE. PALMERSTON N v Tuesday. Shortly before 6 o’clock Inst, evening Mr. Frederick George Hnyman, of Church street, who had been seriously ill for some months, passed away, and relatives hurried into the residence of Mr. John Anderson next door for the purpose of using the telephone. Mr. Anderson, who had been suffering from heart trouble, took a bad turn on hearing the news, and expired four hours later. Both Mr. Haynian and Mr. Anderson were well-known and highlyrespected residents. Mr. Mayman was f>B years of age. He was born atExeter, Devonshire. The late Mr. Anderson, who was 50 years of age, was born at Teinuka. In his early manhood lie was engaged in farming and subsequently moved to Gisborne. About 16 years ago he took up his residence at Longburn, where he was appointed manager ot the freezing works. He came to Palmerston North in 1011 and up to the time of his death he was engaged in the cycle business. He leaves a widow.
