Lenglen, in the lieight of her form, completely outclassed Miss McKane in the women’s singles, permitting her to play a 6 well only as. the winner desired. The men’s doubles, in the third round resulted: Hennessey-and C'asev beat Barclay and Ordered, o—lo.0 —10. 6—3, 6—3, 4. In the fourth round, Borotra and La Oovste beat tiie Britishers, Hunt and Berger, entering the semi-finals. In the mixed doubles, Borotra and Mdlle. Lenglen entered the semi-final, defeating Oilbevt and Miss Melvano, 6—l. 6—2. The winners Were not ex tended. The holders' were outplayed throughout. Borotra’s marvellous speed and terrific .smashes were mot, overshadowed by Mdlle. Lenglen. LONDON, July 2. Croleree, Godfree, Turnbull and Wheatley play against France in the Davis Cup at Eastbourne.
