INCREASE IN TAXES
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.! , BERLIN, April 30. Germany’s net Budgetary surplus last year was 334,000,000 marks. The Finance Minister, Von Schlieben, in a Budget speech in the Reichstag, estimated next year’s expenditure at 49,000.000 marks and the revnue at 465,000,000. He proposed an increase in beer and tobacco excise to meet the deficit.
