Commander Eustace Maude, R.N., aged seventy-seven, who commenced a voyage to England in a itwenty-five feet sloop on May Ist, has arrived at Victoria, British Columbia, en route to the open sea, with Panama as the next port of call. He will not isight land until he reaches the canal. He has provisions for one hundred days, and expects to make the canal in sixty days. He has fifty gallons of water and the same quantity of gasolene aboard his vessel, the Half Moon, which lias ;'t five horsepower engine.
