With tho Church Assembly’s approval an Overseas Settlement- Council has been formed in order that all moral and material forces of the Church of England at Home and abroad may be placed at the disposal of official and other organisations engaged in migration. The "Council will, if needed, help migrants financially, provide for their reception, and after care, and supply letters of intro duction. The Bishops of London and Salisbury and fifteen leading churchmen are the first governing board. The churches in the Dominions are asked to co-operate.
