Miss Kallilene Pillar, who recently returned from Sydney, where she has been studying bnllroom dancing under Professor Bend roil, is opening classes for children on Saturday, May 2, at tin l Holy Trinity Giub rooms.

The Labor candidates will open the campaign for the municipal elections at the, Te Htipara school to-morrow (Wednesday) night, when they will place their views before the electors. Gil Thursday evening they will address the electors at Mangapapa.

To-morrow, commencing at 1 o’clock, at No. 4 Temple street, Mr F. IV. Gray will conduct an auction sale of Brinsmead piano, 3-piece Chesterfield suite, handsome rimn sideboard, treadle Singer machine, two wardrobes, Axminsler carpet, etc., on account of Mr T. McConnell. a well-known resident, who is leaving for the north. Weather permitting everything will be on the lawn. A special sale of Hereford stud cuttle will be conducted by Messrs. Williams and Kettle, in conjunction with Dalgcfy and Co., at the North Clyde saleyards, Wniroa, on May 14. The cattle comprise 48 stud Hereford cows and two balls, all the cattle lielong to well-known breeders. They are being offered on account of .Messrs. Harrison and Harvey and F. G. MiArdle. The new blues are the only ones now in demand in the most exclusive ballrooms of England, and the new wall/, which is of the hesitation type, is, also popular in tho most exclusive dancing circles.
