Dr. ('. D. Henry to-day proceeded in the Magistrate's Court against F. Richardson, civil engineer, Cor £l.lß, balance' nC professional 1 fees, The plain) ill", wlio had attended dofondant for seven years, stated that if lie had charged according to scale the bill would lie twice as much. He had performed four operations.
Replying to an assertion that these were not consented to by the defendant. lie said that Richardson had not refused them, and had insisted on the last one. Defendant, in evidence, sail! he consented l<> a slight operation. lie had not been informed bf Ihe real nature of the operations.
The Magistrate said he sympathised with the defendant, as the operations were not, in the defeiidanr’s opinion, satisfactory, but his impressions were not necessarily correct. Judgment was given for the full amount and £lO costs.
