(Per Press Associat'd).) NAPIER, last night. The. Rugby football season in Haw Joe’s Bay opened on Saturday in perfect weather on rather hard grounds. A very large number of teams took the field in various competitions, and promising form was shown all round. Old players turned out in full force, and many new ones appeared. The prospects of holding. the shield are considered bright.
