PRESS CONFERENCE.

VETERAN JOURNALIST HONORED. (Per Press Association.) ROTORUA, this day. The meeting of the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association last night re-elected Mr C. TV. Earle chairman. Mr H. Brett, who that day had celebrated his 82ml birthday, was created a. lifts member, and presented with'a gold medal in recognition of his great services to journalism. The chairman and -Sir G. Fenwick paid an eloquent tribute to Mr Brett’s splendid work. Visiting members of the press have been shown over the Government nurseries and forest reserves during their stay, and received much information from the officers of the department.
