(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, Feb. 24. The first formal challenge for the Davis Cup in the American zone has been received from Japan. Canada anil Australia have also indicated their intention to compete in this division. Japan probably will depend on several players resident in the United States, including Slmnadzn, Knluida, Haradn, and Okamoto.
