He gleaned the information that I lie wholesale price of New Zealand-manufactured suits had not been advanced in price, and that even assuming that, any increase.in the whole- . sale prices became necessary (which was not contemplated) it would not he considerable. One gentleman engaged, in the retail trade said that suits were being sold cheaper to-day than for 6<Weral years past, and he. did not know how people were managing to sell them at the price. |
