FIRE.

SMALL BUILDING DESTROYED,

A fire which occurred shortly after 8 o’clock this morning completely destroyed a small building situated near the corner of Roebuck and Aberdeen roads. The building was divided into three compartments—a store for vegetables, a small shop, and a living room, and was occupied by Mr. T. Harris, who conducted the vegetable business in partnership with Mr. H. Schultz. The outbreak was discovered at 5.15 a.m., by Mr. Harris, who was outside at the time, and the tire brigade was summoned, hut by then the lire had secured a firm hold, and praelically nothing" was saved.
