Th© monthly meeting of tlie Board of Directors of tho Y.WkC. A. was held yesterday afternoon. There were present-: Mrs, Faulds , (in the chair),. Mesdames Holdsworth, Riacli, Dayly, Humphreys, Cotterill, Wilson, arid Mo-rice, and Misses Brown, Sniailbone, and Edwards. The report of the Girls’ Citizens’ Conference, held at SolwayCollege, Masfcerton, during tlie Christmas holidays, was read. The delegates attending from the Gis, bonne Community of Girl Citizens had acquitted themselves creditably in various events, such’ as impromptu speeches, impromptu .dlaiiiatics, Story-telling, and sports. Vespers each, evening were taken, 'by Miss Leila Bridgemah, national leader of the citizens. Altogether the conference was a great success, and. tho 76 delegates who. attended from various part-s- of New Zealand left for their homes feeling that, they had gained much by-, their conference. The general secretary reported. l that the beginners’ tennis club was enjoying play on Mrs. Cotterill’s and Mrs. Kendori’s courts. No inside club meetings Could bp held owing to the health restrictions. The Board had received word that Miss Paulino Tullock had accepted, the. position of general secretary, rendered vacant by the resignation of Miss Edwards. Miss Tullock will take up, her duties the first weak in March. . At present Miss Tullock is senior, departmental secretary in tlie Auckland Y-W-C.A., arid has had experience in Australian, associffr tidns. Tlie Board! of desire to thank tho many friends for their gifts of vegetables, fruit, butter, and flpwers. Among these friends are: Rev. arid Miss Shannon. Mrs G. W, Humphreys, Mrs Charles Grav, Mrs A. Mitchell, Misses McLean (Otoko), Mrs F. R. Harris, and Mrs Andrew Graham.
