HAWKE CUP MATCH. (Per Press Association.) NELSON, last night. Wanganui’s first innings closed for 184. Nelson’s fielding was very good, and very little was missed. Orr and Holland played sound cricket, while Hawkes secured the best bowling average, six for 52. The highest scores wore Orr 48, Holland 4.1, Hutchison 22. Nelson, in their first innings, have lost three for 109. —Saxon 30, Neale (not out) 33, Langbein (not out) 19, extras 20. Holland took one for 30, and Burke two for 31. POVERTY BAY CLUB MATCH.
