THEFTS ON TRAINS.
SENTENCE OF SIX MONTHS,
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night
On a charge of stealing a £5 banknote and some American money from a passenger in a. sleeping car on the main trunk express, Harold Richardson, aged 21, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment at the Police Court to-day. The police said thefts on the expresses were very prevalent lately, and asked that an example be- made of accused.
