LONDON, Jan. 20. The newspapers give probinence to the unlikelihood of Lord Asquith assuming the title of Earl of Oxford. They point out that in addition to De Vere’s claim referred to in yesterday’s cables, the Duke of At hoi, as co-heir, claimed the title in 1913. The House of Lords Committee of Privileges tlien gave judgment that the title was preserved by attainer to the rc-ai heir. Other coheirs' besides the Duke of Athol, are Lords Latvmer and Kinnoull,
