CRICKET.
CIVIL SERVICE v. HIGH SCHOOL. An interesting match was played at the Oval yesterday between the Ciivfi Service and High School. The former team won the toss, and compiled 68 runs, the chief scorers being Mahoney (24), ! Morrison (10), Badby (9), and Allsup (8). Robertson and McLaehlan, howling well for High ,School, shared the wickets equally, the former taking 5 for 29 and the 'latter 5 for 18. Jennings bowled five overs for JB, hut was unlucky in not taking a wicket. High Suliool replied, with a total of 60. Robertson being the highest .scorer with 25( not out) to 1 1 is credit. McLaehlan (lb!) \ras< the only man who stayed with Robertson. Civil Service used six i.i'innller.s to good effect. .Morrison took 2 wickets for 1, the others being Allsup 2 for 9, Shelton 2 for 10, Badby 2 for 11, and Griffiths 1 for 14. ♦Stores are as follows CIVIL SERVE‘E.
