Newspapers in the Dutch East Indies report that strange creatures, half-men and half-animal, are being seen by the natives of the Portion Islands. Sorno authorities believe that they may be the “missing link,” as they consider thorn to be the lowest form' of human life, while others declare that they are not men. but a species of rare monkeys.
