FATAL AFFRAY.

(Per Press Association . DUNEDIN, this day

A man killed allegedly in an affray last night -was identified as John James Ryan, 53 years, single, who had been working on public works in various parts of Otago during the past 12 years. Tin’s morning two brothers, Albert Norman Sutherland, 23, and Phillip Gordon Sulliorlnnd. 21, were charged at. the Court with fighting each other in the sdreel. The police, in asking for a. remand, stated that at least one was alleged to bn engaged in the affray resulting in Ryan’s death. Both men were remanded without bail till Saturday. The elder accused, it was stated in Court on Monday, was released from Mount Edem gaol the other day. The inquest on Ryan opened and was adioimied.
