GISBORNE WOOL AND SHEEPSKIN SALE.
OFFICIAL REPORT
The Oisborne Woolbrokers' Association held one of their periodical sales of wool, sheepskins, etc. on the ISfii instant, in the City Hall. The original intention of cataloguing a number of fair-sized clips was abandoned, and the offering of wool consisted mainly of the usual oddments, together with a feAV small lines of fleece. Most of this was passed in as the best bids wore generally Id to lid below market value. Prices for fleece are therefore not included in official quotations. The oddments met keen competition, and, prices realised were fully on a par with rates ruling at main selling centres. •
There was a record sale for sheepskins, the highest prices ever known here being secured. All lots were eagerly sought after, . particular attention >neiiig paid to half to fullwnollcd.Kkins with well cured jielts.
Sale dates for .1025 will 'be announced shortly, but meantime consignments should be sent, to brokers' stores whenever available. Following was Hie range of prices realised: WOOL.
