ALL BLACKS’ TOUR.

MATCH AGAINST ENGLAND,

SPECIAL PREPARATIONS,

• Australian ai: i N.Z. CabO Association. LONDON, Dec. 8. The New Zealanders are having a most enjoyable tour of the Midlands.

After the Combined Services match on Saturday, the team will take up its residence in secluded quarters on the South Coast, where the fifteen to meet England will be selected and undergo a special preparation. The newspapers are featuring the suggestion that an extra match should 'be arranged between the New Zealanders and a- combined team -rep-resenting England, Wales and Ireland, to be played at Wembley Stadium. The proposal emanated from a group of Cardiff sportsmen, but, at present, it is purely nebulous. The English Rugby Union has not heard anything officially of it. it, is understood the Ne-vv Zealanders are not disposed to supplement their original fixture list.

Reports are being circulated that Northern Union agents have made tempting offers to lending All Black players to remain in England at the conclusion of the tour.

Feelers were put out following the first match of the tour against Devon and renewed after the Irish game. Nepia, Cooke, Nicnolls, Richardson and the two Brownlies are tins most sought after. It is stated that Nepia summarily rejected an offer of £lsoo'and a salary, but tlm agents are reported to be persisting in their efforts..

There is great satisfaction locally (writes the Nuhaka correspondent of the Wairoa Star) over the recent All Black victory in Wales and more so that our Nuhaka. representative, George Nepia, the incomparable full-back, is making such a good' showing, thus evincing the wisdom of his -choice.
