STORM OF PROTESTS.

The text- of the npw press law has aroused a storm of protests. The penalties include six months' to three years' imprisonment for any one publishing false news which may damage the national credit at home or abroad, disturb public order, or prejudice, diplomatic action. Other offences for which penalties are provided are for inciting the people to actions calculated to intensify class hatred, inciting to disobedience of the law relating to libelling the King, Pope or any of the institutions of the country.
