ti'or Press Association.■

AUCKLAND, hist night

The Auckland wool sale was rcsum

cd (his morning and concluded tonight. Bidding continued brisk and yesterday's prices were repeated. If was evident, from the nature of the bidding thai a great many of (he

prices paid went considerably beyond (he limits of quite a number of buyers, and Bradford continued to gel (he lion '.-• share of the. offerings. Nearly all the catalogue was sulci, (lie onlylots passed being where sellers had placed what buyers considered too high reserves on their lots. When this was the ease the buyers would have none of it. The attendance of the public was again large. The evenness of the bidding was evidenced throughout the sale. As an instance a conservative run of twenty lots of crossbred ranged from 2!!d to 2(i-lcl. In another similar page of the catalogue, the range was from 2ld to 25id. Occasionally the bidding took a sharp upward turn as a choice Jot of fine crossbred super or Corriedale was offered, the prices for'these frequently topping the .'!od mark. The aim of the optimistic grower to realise 24d per pound for crossbreds was realised. Average prices throughout the sale were maintained remarkably well. Experts estimate the average price per pound to be from 23|d to 24|d, making (lie average price per bale about £,'55, which was the figure set on the opening night of the sale. Finer wools realised approximately the same as those offered at the southern sales. Coarser wools showed an advance of about hi per lb.
