DIVIDENDS DECLARED.
MELBOURNE, Dec. f>.
for the year ended August, Ml last, the Kauri Timber Company shows a net profit of £7.1,87.'5. An interim dividend of S per cent, was paid in .Tune, and it is now proposed to make a similar distribution at the same rate from the, balance brought forward. The sum of £8290 will be transferred to the Fire Insurance Consequential Loss Fund and the balance, £20,000, will be placed in the dividend equalisation fund. ,
WELLINGTON, last night
The Clear Company's profit for the year was £O-1,001. A dividend of I/O per shade, less (id interim dividend absorbs £28,750, appropriation of taxes totals £.15,000, and there was carried forward £20,912. Tho company has in hand a quantity of 4-3 per cent, tax free debentures, which will tbe distributed in the ratio of £1 for each share by way of special dividend.
