Ats the result of finger-print examinations in connection with the murders near Siegen, in Westphalia, detectives suspect Angerstein perpetrated the murders and stabbed himself in order to cover up financial difficulties. The search for the supposed bandits up to the present has been resultless. Angerstein’s version is that he returned unexpectedly, saw the bandits at work, and was attacked and left helpless. Detectives announce that, when the bodies were found rigor mortis had setin. indicating that the victims had been killed, some time earlier. Angerstein is expected’ to recover. Later.—Angerstein lias confessed! to the eight murders. He says the story of the robbers was intended to explain the loss of money which he embezzled.
