AVIATOR’S DIFFICULTY.
FLY I NT! OVER RACECOURSE
VAIN EFFORT TO LAND
CALCUTTA, Nov. 17.—The Dutch aviators who are engaged on a flight around the world, flying an erratic course toward Siam, left Altyab yesterday, with the intention of going to Bangkok in one flight,, hut, they unexpectedly appeared over the Rangoon racecourse. This is thci oily landing-place in Rangoon, hut races were in progress, and thousands of racegoers were thrilled by the sight of the aeroplane flying so low that it nearly struck tlici roof of the club premises. Seeing that they were unable to land safely, the airmen made off towards Bangkok. They afterwards effected a safe landing at Kambe. in the Rangoon area. They rail short of petrol and intended to land at the racecourse to secure suppliers. The aviatenrs are all well. They started for Bangkok this morning, and later passed l over Moulmein. They were flying low, but did not stop.
